Did you ever get the PTF required? What was the ptf? Is it safe to upgrade to V4R4 yet? We are using 11.00.03 ---------------------- Forwarded by Rob Berendt/DEKKO on 07/23/99 01:11 PM --------------------------- jhilton4@ussafety.com on 07/22/99 05:03:27 PM Please respond to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com@Internet To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com@Internet cc: keg@exchange.gasco.com@Internet Fax to: Subject: V4R4: AFP Overlays, Query/38, Backups, EDI/400 - FAILING. Update To the guys in the trenches: Sorry I forgot one more problem with V4R4. If you are running Harbinger/Premenos EDI/400 Version 2, i.e. the original. It will have major problems when you go to V4R4, specifically, when you work with Trading Partner Profiles, etc. Some their files were not converted correctly by V4R4. They are trying to get a PTF from IBM. I haven't been notified as to what it is. The normal send/receive EDI transmission work OK, it's only the configuration programs that "shoot craps". The work around is to rename the "screwed-up" files and then copy them back under the original name. There is no way to find which files you need to do this with until you actually invoke one of their programs and it blows up in your face and it tells you which file it is. Then after you do as described, the program mayl blow up again for the next file that's "screwed-up". This has nothing to with which release your on, we are at the most current 11.00.08, going from memory. Forgiven me for continuing to amend/expand my original e-mails.
