1) What pointed you to changing the maximum storage in the first place?
This would be the first place to look for why this person was different.

2) What is your QSECLVL? Since we are at level 30 or 40 we use group
profiles. And we have changed the max on some of the group profiles.
We've also added a routine that checks each group profile and sends an
email to certain personnel. Action must be taken if the group exceeds
80% of max.

Subject: Batch

Greetings,
Having a problem with a user profile running Batch. When this user
runs a SBMJOB he gets a pointer error, MCH3601. To get around this I changed
his Maximum Allowed Storage on his User Profile to 100K, it was 40K. What is
strange is there are other user profiles setup with a Maximum Allowed
Storage of 40K and the Batch process works for them. It is just this one
user that had to be changed to 100K to get it to work. I can't find any
difference in the profiles. What else could cause this?
They don't want to use *nomax for storage allowed.
