IBM announced today that they have shipped their 1 millionth copper Power PC
chip this month.  (See link below) They brag about their new Power PC 440
running at 550 MHz with up to 1000 MIPS using  .18 micron technology.  They
brag about using copper technology in everything from routers, hubs,
switches, TV set top boxes, cellular stations, RAID controllers, Apple
Macintoshes, RS/6000s, S/390s.  They talk about three times the performance
of chips introduced just one year ago.

No mention of the AS/400.

I'm sure there is a good reason.  Maybe they want to....ah....ah.  Well
maybe........, O hell maybe it's just politics (again).
