Stored Procedures

Does anyone out there use a markup language like ColdFusion to execute a
stored procedure to call an existing  RPG program, and pass parms back to
the markup script?
If so, what are some of the drawbacks, blowups, etc.  It looks like a pretty
cool way of getting computed data from the AS400 and utilizing existing
programming professionals to do the coding.
