File Transmittal via Modem -- MIDRANGE-L

How do I transmit a file via modem?

I am working on a project to transmit Payroll/Direct Deposit from the AS400
to the Bank via modem.  I have done the following on the AS400:
        Created the Line Description
        Created the Device
        Created the Controller
        Created the Direct Deposit File

What are the remaining steps to accomplish this task?
