You debug the "old" fashioned way, STRDBG..  it looks different, being ILE;

REMEMBER this when COMPILING your ILE program, prompt, do a F10,
and on compiler options I place *XREF and on debugging views I tend to place
*ALL

more out of habit, DASD is cheap now, and I prefer if an ILE program bombs,
that I can tell
what happened, otherwise you do not get the statement number(s) and to debug
you would have
to re-compile before testing - I am very impatient and want to get going
right away.

Subject: debug options

Hi,

I have begun using RPG IV (not binding yet) and may need to debug a program
(not that I have a bug in my code). I am familiar with STRISDB for RPG III
and know there is an ILE debugger but, how do I get to it? (command?)
Furthermore, is there only 1 debugging utility available for RPG IV code and
what is the best source for information on it?

TIA
