No line would be created automatically.  Try to change the 
limitations of this into features.  Machine is not put into 
the network until you are ready.  You are able to ensure that 
the parameters of the line description are the most effective 
for your configuration.  If you have multiple cards then you 
can pick the line descriptions used for each card.  You can 
match the line description to the right TCP/IP interface.  ETC.

Hi Everyone,

I recently did a re-install of 4.3 after initializing the system and everything
went fine until I went to configure TCP and realized I have no ethernet line
description, so I had to manually create it. Am I wrong in assuming this card
should automatically be configured and the line created for it?  I had thought
that this card would be configured for me and a line created by the os, am I 
just
remembering incorrectly?
