HIGH / LOW >values on most machines are FF (Foxes) and 00 (Nulls) respectivly, UPPER >and LOWER bounds usually take thier cue from the field being addressed >eg.. if a field were AN, UPPERBOUNDS would be ZZZZZ, if numeric, 99999 >etc. LOWER AAAA and 000 respectivly. If a field is AN, UPPERBOUNDS on an AS/400 would be 99999, since numerals follow letters in the collating sequence (ie 9 = xF9; Z = xE8). --Paul E Musselman PaulMmn@ix.netcom.com +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
