So initially on your machine you are saving from QDLS? Well, even if you are in QDLS you are not restricted to using the SAVDLO command. You can use the straight SAV command. Then to restore you can use the RST command and specify a different directory. Even better yet. If both machines have installed the freebie 5769SS1-22-OS/400 - ObjectConnect, then you can use the SAVRST command. This combines the save, sndnetf, restore all into one. And you can specify a restore into a different directory. We use the SNDNETF command to send a save file and then restore it on the other end into QDLS. I've found the MOV command that lets us move it from QDLS into the root directory.
