Binding a 'C' program

Does anyone know how to bind a 'C' module with an ILE RPG
module?

The ILE RPG module is the main module.  The 'C' module uses
pointers to pass data back to the RPG module.   Every time
we try it we get an error message that says "Operands are
not compatible with the type of operator".
