This and many other DDS features directly affect what sort of response time you get at a remote location... Email on this subject would get VERY long, but any programming slips in design that do not consider remote sites, will cause response time to really lag... Local and remote response times can be very different since the local response can appear to be very quick, but this is "masked" by the blinding speed of a local controller vs large complex screens wandering down a telephone link... Communications tuning takes a good bit of experience and knowledge of equipment, as well as some system tuning to help the situation... Program design has a heavy bearing on how well the remotes work. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
