It appears from the results of my benchmark tests that IBM has significantly bettered the theoretical throughput for a simple single queue. The curve is certainly not exponential. It appears that even though I have only one CPU, the system is functioning as though there were multiple (possibly 3) queues. Hmmmmm. I have some reading to do.
