Ken,
I think you mean DSKBAL. it came out with V4R3, but you can get PTFs of
this
back to V4R1. There is also a new feature in V4R4 to do it in DST at addition
of
the disk time.
The DSKBAL does take a long time to run, but in my opinion it is extremely
useful to balance your disks after installing new disks, otherwise the new disks
get all the activity until OS/400 balances the % used on each disk until they
are
all even.
