× The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

I agree with Bob. If you are reading only 5 records per re-display, the
issue lies somewhere else.

Also the number of records in the file is irrelevant---but you may check
the file being used and the logic occurring when each record is read.

I've really only seen issues like this when using a join logical file
and/or doing a lot of additional logic (such as calling a routine to
calculate, e.g., a YTD value by reading hundreds of records from another
file)...
