IN the backup recovery guide there is are procedures to reload the os and
then recover data from user ASPs. This works great unless you loose a whole
RAID5 set that just happens to contain both the system asp and uers asps

In the light of "no stupid questions, just brain cell impaired
inquiries".....

We journal all of our physical files. We are creating a separate ASP 2
to hold the journals/receivers. We are doing this in the event we lose
ASP 1 and can rebuild from the journals.
My question is that if we lose ASP 1, don't we then lose the operating
system?? How do we get to ASP 2 to recover the journals??

TIA
Jim Knight
