Bob, First, the bigger issue is Group PTF's for V4R2 I think that there was a Group Package, but can not swear to it, that affected this area. Also, if you are really on 4.6.2b for the server, you need to get the QMU (quarterly Maintenance Updates) Lotus's term ofr CUM tapes, from the AS/400 Domino web site and bring your self to 4.6.4x. This is not the same level of work that the 4.6.n to R5.0 will be for you, but I think that you will be much happier with the results. Depending on what you are using Domino for, you may also want to stay with 4.6.n for awhile. Some function like Domino.Doc is not yet available for R5.0. Also, with the V4R4 upgrades I seem to recall that SMTP get's better but I can not recall the specifics... Good Luck, JMS.... > >---------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Date: Wed, 4 Aug 1999 11:04:29 -0500 From: "Bob Randall" <BLR@Airxcel.com> Subject: RE: Domino and POP3 Issues.. Current stats: OS/400 V4R2 ("may" be behind one cum CD at worst, I try to stay up-to-date). Domino 4.62b (I think that was right, latest updates in just to get it running). Just using Domino POP3 (I was told you could only do Domino or OS/400, not both). I have OS/400 V4R4 on order, should be here any day. I also have Domino 5 on the shelf, but have not ventured into the conversion to that as of yet. I would like to get OS/400 V4R4 running to upgrade the firewall features, but I have been tossing around many ideas about the future of our mail server platform. I have an RS/6000 sitting in the wings, and I am upgrading memory on the AS/400 "as we speak". Other options are also being considered including the "find a Domino expert" option.
