  • Subject: High Availability Opinions

Greetings all,
We are currently examining high availability packages for an optical
imaging/workflow application. System is an S/20-2165 with 250G storage
online, and a 100 platter Cygnet Optical jukebox with 5 Philips L6000
drives.

We are looking at Lakeview's MIMIX , vision Solutions OMS/ODS, and the
DataMirror packages. One concern I have is the large number of objects
in QDLS. (950,000 currently). Approximately 30,000 files are created
daily in QDLS, and another 30,000 are deleted. Since each package
handles QDLS objects differently, I am concerned with performance and
reliability in this area.

Can anyone share their experiences or opinions on these products?
(Off-line comments will be accepted).

thanks,
Bob
