You can also define a logical file or view that converts the packed or binary data to zoned format. This even obviates the need to CPYF. For this type of transfer, you want to use transfer type ASCII (assuming that you're going to an ASCII system of course). The only little niggle is that you will need to adjust the sign nibble on the target system if you the numeric values are less than zero, but that's straight forward enough.
