QUOTE "AS400 COMMAND"

Here is the help text:

QUOTE (Send a Command to an FTP Server)

To send a subcommand directly to the FTP server on the remote system,
use the QUOTE subcommand. The string is sent verbatim to the FTP
server.

    QUOte string

QUOte You can abbreviate subcommands to the most unique series of
            characters.

string The subcommand and arguments that you want sent to and
interpreted by the remote FTP server.

Notes:

  1. The AS/400 FTP server limits the string to 1000 characters.

  2. For the QUOTE subcommand, whatever you enter is passed as the
argument. For example, if you type:

             QUOTE CWD 'SYS1'

      The resulting argument is:

             CWD 'SYS1'

Special server commands exist and must be entered using the QUOTE
subcommand.
