This is almost certainly caused by using the wrong settings when you "print"
through the AFP printer driver.  When you print, open up the properties of
the AFP driver and find the Options page.  You want to be sure to select the
output type that you need: Overlay or Page segment.  I believe the default
is Document (or some such thing.  It varies by driver release.)

Typically, Overlay is used for a background for a complete page, whereas
Page Segment is typically used for individual images like logos.
