hi Pete I could not able to understand what exactly delimiter is. I tried giving comma (,) before my first library name in my ODBC datasource. Ex:- is below. , library1,library2, library3 Afther this when Iam searching a file in my program it is giving me a message that it could not able to find file in QSYS. Anymore alteration do I need to do? Pl. clarify regards, Baba At 07:29 07/21/1999 , Baba Rahiman wrote: >We have connected to AS/400 through Windows NT using CA/400. >Is it possible to give a library list in ODBC by which I can access tables from >different libraries(without qualifying the table with library name)? >We are using VC for our programming. >Right now I could only fetch the data from a table from only one library >though I have given different library names in my ODBC connectivity? >I don't have much idea about ODBC connectivity. In the datasource you can specify a comma separated list of libraries. I think semi-colons work too. At one time, it was necessary to put a delimiter in the first position of the list (before the first library), or only the first library would get used. I don't know if that's still necessary, but it doesn't hurt anything, so I always just do it.
