System is a 170 (PCI, no SPD card capability) so Integrated Fax Adapter is not an option. They must use either a 7852-400 modem (which has some limitations), or an attached PC serving as a Fax Controller. WOndering if anyone has that attached PC Fax Controller faxing out via a Scanner/Copier/Printer/Fax like the Xerox Document Center, or if it only works (as I suspect) in the Fax Controller PC has internal fax cards (like the Gammalink). Was trying to see if the Xerox could be used for sending outgoing faxes from Fax/400. (It can accomplish that from any PC's that are attached top the LAN). We use Facsimile Support for the AS/400 but it has 2 fax adapters that connect to the pots lines. The AS/400 receives the faxes and then sends them to printers. You should be able to use the document center as a printer but it has it's own fax adapter built-in which means the AS/400 would never "see" the FAX. -----Original Message----- From: Neil Palmer [mailto:neilp@dpslink.com] Sent: Thursday, July 15, 1999 11:59 PM To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com Subject: Fax/400 with Xerox Document Centre Wondering if anyone out there is using Fax/400 and has managed to get it running using the Xerox Document Centre 220/230 (Digital Copier, Printer, Scanner, Fax) ? It mentions in the manual that it can function as a LAN Fax. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +--- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
