  • Subject: Not Today Connection Question ????
  • From: "Jeffrey Silberberg" <jsilberberg@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Morning,

As I do not do much work with the Microsoft-Not Today (NT) products
I have an interesting question that maybe someone here can answer easily.

        I have a client with Win/NT client workstations (V4.0 SP3) operating
and those workstations have printers attached that are sharable to the
network. Now to print to these printers from the AS/400 V4R1 they have a
CA/400 V3R1M2 (SP40828) workstation using Anynet providing a path to the
Network, as the printer and CA are on different physical boxes within the
same remote location.

The question is, other than the obvious JetDirect, or LPD/LPR to NT
Server, is there anyway to use the Native NetServer functionality to map and
drive these printers since they are shareable over the network, and if I can
what is the minimum Release/PTF level necessary ?

        TIA,
        Jeff Silberberg...
