This has been my complaint with TAATOOLS forever.  I haven't rewritten
that one, but many (most?) of them, I converted to use the available APIs.
Some of them even still use the printed output, and try to break it down.
Seems like an "insider" such Jim would have had at least as much concern
for upward compatibility.  But that may just be *my* view.  :^(
