I am trying to use the CPYTOIMPF command to write a text file to the IFS so that it may be used by a PC. I am able to get the file written ok using this command: CPYTOIMPF FROMFILE(LIB1/DBFILE) TOSTMF('/DirA/dummy.s38') MBROPT(*REPLACE) RCDDLM(*CRLF) DTAFMT(*FIXED) STRDLM('"') FLDDLM(',') the problem is that it appears to be writing it in EBCDIC. When I open the file on a PC with Client Access, it looks fine(because i have the extension set up to be automatically converted to ASCII). However, the PC that will be reading this file does not have Client Access. Is there any way to make the CPYTOIMPF command convert this file to ASCII?
