R Hello Brad, Can you explain this a bit more? The web page (program) stores the received data in SQL Server on NT and DataMirror is used to propagate the SQL Server tables to the AS/400. Which fields are being translated incorrectly? NULL fields are coming in as blanks? X'00' fields are coming in as blanks? NULL fields that happen to be initialised to X'00' by SQL Server are coming in as blanks? Which version of DM are you using? For a while they could not handle NULL fields except via SQL. Do you have any exit programs running in DM to convert data or handle the updates (either %USER functions or option 15(?) from the file definition panel)? Have value translations been defined for these files? A little more information is needed. For instance, for a given record, what does it look like in SQL Server and what does it look like in DB2/400? Personally, I think using a toy database is the root of the problem but then what would I know? Regards, Simon Coulter. «»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«» «» FlyByNight Software AS/400 Technical Specialists «» «» Eclipse the competition - run your business on an IBM AS/400. «» «» «» «» Phone: +61 3 9419 0175 Mobile: +61 0411 091 400 «» «» Fax: +61 3 9419 0175 mailto: shc@flybynight.com.au «» «» «» «» Windoze should not be open at Warp speed. «» «»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«» //--- forwarded letter ------------------------------------------------------- > X-Mailer: Internet Mail Service (5.5.2448.0) > Date: Tue, 29 Jun 99 13:12:16 -0500 > From: "Stone, Brad V (TC OASIS)" <bvstone@taylorcorp.com> > To: "'MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com'" <MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com> > Reply-To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com > Subject: RE: Hex '00' to Hex '40'? > > S wish it were this easy.
