Login to your AS/400 via FTP as you normally would.  But the first command
you need to issue after you enter your password and get the connection is a
CD /ifsdir  I usually do a CD /HOME which is always there.  You can then use
CD commands to get to the directory of your choice.  IBM has enhanced this
"feature" in V4R4, but til then you need to do the CD /ifsdir or issue a
Namefmt1 command to switch to standard ISF naming instead of QSYS.

Does anyone know of a way to access the IFS file system using FTP from
Windows 95/98?
Whenever I access the AS/400 using FTP, I am connected to the QSYS.LIB file
system.

I would like to be able to access the Root "/" or QDLS file systems.
