  • Subject: Req. CA/400 and HP4000 Printer Drawers info.

Howdy,

I have a client that would like to attach an HP4000 printer with three input
bins (2-500 sheet trays and the multipurpose tray) to an AS/400 at V4R2M0 via
CA/400 at V3R2M0. They actually would like to have three 500 sheet trays but I
am not sure the hardware can be put together that way.

1) Will CA/400 allow the AS/400 to directly address the two 500 sheet trays as
drawers 1 and 2? How about 3 if HP can add 2 optional 500 feeders?

2) Which would be the better way to setup CA/400 as a 3812 or TRANSFORM(*YES)

3) What MFRTYPMDL works best if you use TRANSFORM(*YES)

Thanks.
