Dan,
The application I am mentioned here is ofcourse is not going to be
used often. Though , I am almost done with
this program, but, in future if it is not used often and not complicated with
editing etc , I would want to consider DFU.
I am glad that I am getting good suggestion and ideas from the expert in this
forum.

Thanks again

Regards
Raj

Raj,

>>Also, as Dan Bale has mentioned , DFU or DBU may be much easier to just
maintain less fields Data base files, which has no editing. I have never
thought of this. It also takes care of Duplicate keys. But, it wont be much
user friendly.<<

Again, as mentioned in an earlier post, whether you want to go with a DFU or DBU
app or write one from scratch depends on how often it will be used and what your
data edits are. User friendly is nice, but if you're talking about an app that
gets used once a month for five minutes a crack, it's hard to see where the cost
of writing a new app from scratch is justified. Unless you've got loads of free
time, of course. ;-)

Oh, if this file's contents control nuclear generators, then maybe you'd skip
DFU and go with an ILE-RPG program from scratch instead. You get the point.
