Communication question -- MIDRANGE-L

We have a client that needs to have a constant communication line open
to recieve data from general motors.  we got involved in it late in the
project, when they've been threatened with loosing the business.

What they will be receiving is requests for parts, in transactions that
will come about 1 a minute.

It will be ascii data coming over a leased line with a dsu/csu
connection.  this other programming company handed it off to us, after
ibm quoted $10,000-$15,000 to do it.    

so any ideas?  they want to get it running this week.  HAHAHA
