I believe the web version is constantly updated. The printer
version (I have) was updated fairly recently (I believe) as it
covers 1.1 and some 1.2/swing. In the introduction, he stated that
this issue contained corrections to example code, so I assume that
it's fairly current. I'm still toward the front of the book, so I
can't comment as to the depth of coverage on the newer stuff.

According to website, PDF final version (Jan 1998) replaced version
10a. You can get a new PDF version with PDF index from:

I agree. I have the book in PDF format from 2 years ago. Has
it been updated since? The one I have is revision 4 from 2/97.

For those of you who are trying to learn JAVA and OO design, I
found a GREAT book (and online resource). "Thinking in JAVA" by
     Bruce Eckel.

     www.bruceeckel.com

He has the book online (free) or published (<$40).

I'm still just getting started on this, but so far, his writing and
     examples are superb.
