Line numbers on RPG/LE error messages -- MIDRANGE-L

× The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

        I can't believe that IBM left us this problem without a
solution. When the RPG error messages (ie array index error) happen the
line number in the message text does not equate to reality. There must
be something we are missing. What is the solution?

This reminds of the RPG/II days when the comment lines were not
numbered!!
