Allen,
Op Console supports this kind of configuration. I use it regularly.
It requires an NT 4 workstation, a PC modem and a couple of special cables
for connection to the AS/400. In addition to having access to the console
you can also work with the system's control panel remotely.
It gets a bit involved setting it up, but since I've installed the latest
CA/400 V3R2 service pack it has been pretty stable.
Detailed installation instructions can be found in the CA/400 C3R2 manuals.
