Raid is a backup method for concurrent(not always) replacement of a bad drive. Have never use the new load balance procedure, so I will not comment. The ONLY way, to my knowledge, of getting a "balance" across all disk drives, is a total reload, the data being scatttered across all drives in a equal(more or less) manner. Unless you having serious performance problems, why be concerned about the balance ??? +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
