National holidays are specified by legislation. I published a routine (several years ago) called RTVHOLIDAY that calculates the date and day of the week for every national holiday, from the years 1600-9999. The holidays included: New Years Day Martin Luther King Day President's Day Memorial Day Flag Day The Fourth of July Labor Day Columbus Day Election Day Thanksgiving Day The Day After Thanksgiving Christmas Eve Christmas This was all done by an RPG routine which was about 100 lines with comments. There was a trivial CL to up front it. There is also a TAA TOOL called RTVHOLIDAY. It uses a table, and goes from 1940 to 2039. The holidays include: Ash Wednesday Martin Luther King Day President's Day Good Friday Easter Passover Mothers Day Memorial Day Fathers Day Labor Day Columbus Day Rosh Hashanah Thanksgiving Day Hanukkah This is about 900 lines, and is all done in CL. +--------------------------------------------------+ | Please do not send private mail to this address. | | Private mail should go to barsa@ibm.net. | +--------------------------------------------------+ Al Barsa, Jr. - Account for Midrange-L Barsa Consulting, LLC. 400 > 390 Phone: 914-251-1234 Fax: 914-251-9406 http://www.barsaconsulting.com http://www.taatool.com +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
