hi, I'm interested in companies that have a centralised server(s) on one size of the atlantic, but who have users accessing it from the other (via leased line and/or web based). My company is considering a US based server farm, that handles the global business. Given the inherant lags over a transatlantic link, what sort of interactive response time do users experience? It it viable do do this without a replica server at either end? Is the performance of local users affected by the remote ones?
