Unless there's a specific reason to switch to RPG, i.e. you're going to use a specific package, your programmers oculd easily stick with COBOL on the AS/400. You as the techie probably have more justification for learning RPG than they do. Unless of course you don't figure in the company's future plans, in which case it's probably their loss and hopefully your eventual gain. Recycled mainframe systems programmers make great AS/400 experts. Good luck.
