The AS/400 participates in SNMP. We have installed a product that monitors
for certain events and then forwards alerts, when appropriate, to our
OpenView SNMP server. OpenView then pages us if the alert is one that
requires immediate attention.

The product we use on the AS/400 is NM*Server by COMTEK Services, Inc...
(3545 Chain Bridge Rd / Fairfax, VA 22030)

This configuration isn't as fancy and easy to use as some of the Paging
Products written for the AS/400, but it does work most of the time... :)
