Either an v24 or v35 port. If you are doing dial up, then a v24 will fill the need. You will also need a modem, I prefer the UDS 3400, although the IBM options modems are fine also. Every AS400 has a v24 port and the ECS modem attached, it is possible to use this comm port and modem, however it may restrict your use of the ECS line depending on what you will be doing with you SDLC line.
