Have you tried talking to, not only the MIS department, but the Dean and the
placement office? Perhaps they are dropping it because of lack of interest,
not on your part, but on the part of the students. How do you encourage new
students? I don't know if most students give a rip about the green screen
versus GUI argument, they want money. To encourage this maybe scholarships,
co-op work, and what not may be used to entice them. We participate in a local
program in which budding high school data processing wanna be's spend a day
with
us. You should see their eye's pop up when we mention one of our employee
benefits is full tuition reimbursement.

It still amazes me that although the AS/400 is a very popular midrange
business system all around the world, many non AS/400 people still have
not even heard of it, or RPG.

Do IBM need to raise the profile of this magical system or what?

How many colleges/universities actually teach RPG
