You need first create User Defined File System (UDFS) by CRTUDFS comand (it will
have name like /dev/qaspXX/name.udfs), where XX is ASP number.
Them you mount it over empty directory by MOUNT command.
After that you will magically see new directory tree under directory above.
Now everything you create in this directory will go to ASP XX.

Hello -

Does anyone know how to create a directory in the IFS and have it reside in
a user ASP?

I've tried the following command: CRTDIR DIR('/DEV/QASP02/backup/')

... and got the following message:  Information passed to this operation was
not valid.

I guess I'm not understanding some basic concept involving the IFS and
ASP's....

Can I even create a directory and have it reside in an ASP other than the
system ASP (1)???

Any insight will be greatly appreciated....
