I use this for my QRYSLT when using a field DATEL from my database file and &DATEPARM from CLP: QRYSLT('DATEL *EQ "' *CAT &DATEPARM *TCAT '"') I prefer the double-quote over multiple single quotes (ticks) BTW, a fellow programmer who came out of Cittone Institute here in NJ was the first one to use the "tick". I think it sounds nuts to say "tick". He also says "Splat" for asterisk! Art Tostaine, Jr. CCA, Inc.
