You are correct. You absolutely do not need Client Access. We do this all
the time.

I know the Shriva unit has been discussed on the list before. I am on site
at a clients today and there are 4 of us who need to establish dial up
access to this client's AS400. We all have the IBM PCOM TN5250 emulator
loaded on our laptops and the guy here is telling me we HAVE TO LOAD CLIENT
ACCESS in order to do a dial up connection. Could that possibly be true? I
was under the impression that I could connect to this unit via Windows DUN,
establish a TCP/IP connection and then start a TN5250 session to the IP
address of the AS400.
Which of us is crazy?
