There is also the system exit point Presystem Request Program Exit
Program which allows a user program(s) to get control when SysReq is
used.  This program can, among other things, cause the system provided
system request menu to not be used.  This approach gives you a highly
flexible method to handle SysReq as you have complete program control.

The exit point is documented in the System API Reference chapter Work
Management Exit Programs.
