Dead serious.  I used to manage the shop for a company that turns metal in big
lathes all day. Enourmously dirty out there. No matter what you did, the
keyboards ended up a mess.  SO, just pop off the keys, toss em in an onion or
apple bag (with a twist tie on the open end)  lay em in the top of the
dishwasher (spread out as best you can) add soap, push button!  I never tried it
but suspect the drying heat could deform the keys so I just dried 'em on a towel
like mom did with the blueberries!
