boy, was i surprised when i checked messages tonite and found a raging
debate on what font i used! 

a couple of weeks ago i downloaded the latest netscape. if anything has
changed, that would be it.  tonite, i checked the properties, and the
option was checked to key messages in html format.  i changed it back to
text.  i don't know what else it could be..??

geez, i got rid of the v-card, and now it's fonts.  what's next?
