Carl,
Why start a TN5250 from a web page, and at what point in the log on
process. For those interested in 5250 from WEB here is a SNIP from a recent
Email I received on the forthcomming Version 4 Host On Demand product;
Host On-Demand, recently given the highest rating by InfoWorld, provides
100% pure Java based emulation and access to S/390, AS/400, DEC and Unix
Hosts. It provides the fastest and easiest way for companies to become an
e-business by moving their business processes to the web. Because Host
On-Demand is 100% pure Java, it supports the client and server platforms of
your choice, including Linux, which means scalability is a non-issue. As
a solution developer, you can develop new e-business applications, for
example, that combine data from multiple host sources into a single
graphical user interface, without requiring any changes to the existing host
programs. Host On-Demand provides a powerful set of Java application
programming tools including the Host Access Class Library APIs, Host Access
Beans for Java and with Host On-Demand Version 4, new ActiveX controls
support . These tools fuel rapid development and deployment with an open
architecture that allows for portable deployment using any TN server, any
IDE and no proprietary server.
