You can run the DSKBAL command f.x. 2 hours at every IPL; the balancing
will continue from where it left off:

DSKBAL BALTIM(180) ONCE(*EVERYIPL 120)
- at next IPL run 180 minutes, at following IPLs run 120 minutes 

to prevent DSKBAL from running again:
DSKBAL BALTIM(*STOP)

The information I've got from IBM states that tests have shown that it
takes approx. 1 minute to move 10 MB of data - if you're interested in
