  • Subject: Testing & Changes for Y2K

A/K/A
Vendors that do not cooperate in Y2K solutions
by not providing source code or test /DR Licenses.

Some No name situations- to remember: - - ->
I've seen this type situation three times before( in two different parts
of the country):

Once we were able to reason with the vendor and it was resolved when
they understood.

The other is an out right hold up for a BIGGER hardware purchase plus an
over inflated price for the software upgrade [Y2K compliant release].

This one is not resolved yet but there are work arounds in the wings.

The last was high priced test & DR site license costs. [ Jury is out on
this one yet]

Anyone else seeing this sort of poor[shame on you] behavior?

Regards,

Glenn
