>this would be the same thing as having signs next to stoplights that say: >"If the light is red, stop." >"If the light is green, go." >"If the light is yellow, kick it in the *ss..." > >There are some things that shouldn't need commenting. However, in today's sue-happy world, there are a lot of warning signs that 'common sense' says are ridiculous. Seen the sign that says, "Rumble Strips Ahead?" These are placed to warn you of the rumble strips that are to warn you of some fixed road hazard. The signs are useless-- a non-alert driver will not notice the signs, and the rumble strips will do their jobs. An alert driver will see the other signs describing the hazard (ie 'sharp curves ahead'), and won't need either the sign or the rumble strips. --Paul E Musselman PaulMmn@ix.netcom.com +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
